Softmod Hard mod whichever way you do it you CAN still play on-line. Using a programme called X-Link. It's brilliant. The link is below. Create an account (completely free), download and install the software and away you go. Be sure to read the F.A.Qs if you get stuck they WILL help. You'll need to configure your firewall to allow you to play and you'll need either a router or two NIC's to connect the X-Box (there are a few other ways for the more tech savvy) Peace Out.

Its not going to ruin the computer, however it is going to get your account zapped when you log onto xbox live. Since the update at the end of May beginning of June, they have been banning accounts that use modded systems.
