need help with a virus?

whenever i right click my drive c:\ and d:\, instead of the commands "Open, Explore" etc. it shows 'ò¿ª(O) and xÊÔ´¹ÜÀÃ*Ǽ(X). how can i change it back to normal without reformating my drive c:\?

Sorry but I believe formatting your drive will be the only way to be 100 % sure your machine is not compromised because once a bad guy gets in there might be others with him

Right click it again and go down 11 spaces and highlight encoding and go down to Unicode, which is 3 spaces down . I think it may be the language encoded wrong. If not, try go to control panel>regional and language options and see if it it set to english.
