Window XP to Vista....?

After i upgrade my pc to vista, do the old program still their or not??????

I moved all my programs to Vista from XP and they all worked except for 1 or 2. This was from an old computer to a new one so is a little different from upgrading from XP to Vista on the same computer but my experience showed me most programs will still run.

Don't do it. my friend did this and had nothing but trouble,nothing worked not even the printers. She finally had enough and went back to XP.

This is NOT a good idea. Vista is a memory hog - not to mention that there is no guarantee your programs will work.
If your really insist on doing this - a clean install is the way to go - I have seen too many upgrades go awry.
