problems with windows vista! help!?

just got a new computer and i cannot download a program i need to install for work. it did fine on my other computer which has xp on it. a window pops up saying cannot read source file.
anyone familiar with what i could try to do? is it because vista is a new program?

Hi, since Vista's response is that it can't read the source file then it may be that the installation media is corrupt. Try installing it from a new cd or something or download it again if its on the internet. You may also want to visit the programs website for compatibility with Vista. It would have help us answer u better if u named the program so please do so if u like a better reply.

It depends on the program. Many are not Vista compatible. If you can add some details someone should be able to help.

Windows Vista is still having a lot of compatibility issues right now..

My advice? Use the program on a different computer.. Vista isn't ready to be widely used yet.
