Is there by chance a trial of Roxio Media 10, or will I have to try something else/better?

dvd fab and dvd shrink. both are better and free.

Actually it's illegal to make dvd's copies from movies or other proctected materials. You may download a program under your own risk. Just type on google the basic words of what you want to get and you may find the right link to download it for certain amount of time.
