I always have trouble going to sleep at night because I can't get myself to turn my computer off since I get into what I am doing so much. So I wind up going to sleep past midnight and I wake up late and I am behind on the day.

Is there a program or can I make a program with the visual basic software I have?

first off, your motivation counts a lot.
What I can suggest is that you change the Power Option on your PC by going to Control pannel, Performance and Maintenance (for Windows XP). You may change the Power Schemes so it turns off when you happen to leave it for sometime.
