My computer plays little snippets of songs for about 2 secs & flashes a "FF"...

...icon, then it goes away, virus? Is this a computer virus? I have a dell xps with windows vista.

What makes this tricky to diagnose is that the information you've provided isnt enough...Are you seeing the "FF" icon inside your music player or on windows? Does the song stop after 2 secs or does it play snippets for 2 secs, pause, and plays again in that pattern? It doesnt sound like a computer virus to me....Does this happen to ALL your songs (e.g., mp3's)....What about other audo-embedded files such as movies..do they have same problem with sound? Where is this "FF" icon being displayed? Need more information please.
