Problems STILL w/ Lexmark Z645 printer on windows xp?

I don't remember if this printer came w/ a cd, but if it did, I don't know where it is. I went to the web site & got the driver downloaded, but the printer still won't work. I've went to add printer in the control panel & under mfrs. I click on Lexmark, but under type Z645 is not listed. Windows automatically searches for plug & play devices, but does not find any. After messing around a bit I have at least got Lexmark Z645 printer ready under printers in my control panel somehow, but I still cannot print anything! It says the item is qued, but never prints! I had no idea what port I am using (local com port 1 or what?) so I may have set it up wrong. I did recently reinstall windows xp, but I thought I had used the printer since then. I must be wrong. I also went to add hardware, but something went wrong there as well. What do I need to do to get the printer working? Any ideas?
Printer is not listed under add/delete programs either?
