My sister just got a 30gb Ipod (video) and the cable it came with is defective??

The cable seems like its not working at all. It wont charge the iPod and it isnt being recognized by the computer. I researched and found out other people were having similiar problems, I just couldnt find a fix for this. Its only people with those 30gb and 80gb iPods as far as I know. I tried the cable on my nano and my brother's iPod, still nothing.

Is there a fix for this issue or has Apple recalled the cables because obviously they need to be!

Go to apple's website find their number and then call them. or you could just return it to the store and get another one.
