Hey.
I've been using aim for a long time, I suppose. Now, I had always had aim 5.9, the classic one. I recently had to ship out my computer for service, and they replaced my harddrive. So, when I got my computer back witha new drive, I had to re-download aim, and downloaded aim 5.9 again. Ever since, I have had trouble with receiving files.
I can receive individual files, but if someone tries to send me a directory (folder) I cannot accept it. I get a message something along the lines of "You cannot receive transfers of directories (folders)." It suggests compressing the folder, or sending all the files individually.
I never used to have a problem like this. I even uninstalled my new copy of aim, and then reinstalled it again, and the problem is still the same. It's very strange. I have checked all my settings and preferences and such, and nothing seems out of order.
Can anyone help me straighten this out?
Thanks!
