Why does my computer use only MSN search engine?

When I opened explorer, the explorer directed me to www.MSN.com. When I typed in www.yahoo.com or www.google.com, the, for example, yahoo homepage appeared for 12-3 seconds and then disappeared. The next screen showed up "action cancelled". It seems that somesoftwares or some settings prevent me from using search engines other than MSN. I am not at computer. I greatly appreciate that someone can help me solve the problem.

open Internet explore..and click search button..then you Can see left side search task pane..then click custom...then open pop up window...you hv to do is load that settings and type yahoo or google web address..and save Ur settings...its very easy......

go to mozilla.com
install firefox2
choose any search engine from a list
if you want to continue with ie,
when ie starts,go to tools>internet options
or from control panel>internet options>general>change search defaults,choose the search engine you want
