The long reply above is full of very good advices. Follow them!
As far as your meta tags and so on are in question, analyse your site through free analysers: go to
www.skytargets.com, select web designs and use the free analysers that are there.

PS1: as said above: do NOT expect results in a week.
PS2: re-submit your site EVERY MONTH.
