MSN LIVE Messenger cannot receive messages!!?

I can logon onto MSN Live Messenger, and I see my contact list and whether they are online or not, I can also send messages to them and they can reply. But if the other party is the one initiating a conversation, they get a message saying that they cannot send me messages. But when I start talking to them then they can send their messages again.. It all started since Saturday night and I didn't do a thing to my computer! HELP!

Someone else was reporting MSN troubles and contacted MSN. They got this reply:

....as of the moment, the Instant Messaging servers of Windows Live Messenger are currently undergoing temporary technical difficulties. This may have then affected users when it comes to sending instant messages. We know that communication is important to you. Don't worry as we are presently investigating this issue to restore normal service as quickly as possible. Rest assured that the difficulty you are experiencing is temporary and will be resolved shortly....
