So far, there are two types of search engine optimization that I know of and I only have a vague idea of these two. They are called White Hat SEO and Black Hat SEO.

Yes that right but your much better sticking to the white-hat if you don`t want to get banned by the search engines.

Black-hat is mostly used by porn and other illegal sites, using cloaking and spam software.

When there is a lot of competiton people decide to use black hat in order to succeed faster but often they end up banned by search engines.

white hat is the way to go but you never know when will google announce that some legit techniques are now balck hat...

Not sure if this help because if you optimise your website for more competitive keywords you will stay longer in sandbox. IMHO black-hat is the way how to get banned before you are out of sandbox....

Black hat is not always the obvious techniques that people think of such as hidden-text and cloaking. Many very succesfull webmasters put a lot of effort into finding ways to beat googles algoithms to get ahead. In the long run Google will catch on, but many times it takes a very long time. Not obvious techniques can be very useful in raising the position of a site that does not need to be up forever.

If you do want to get banned from adsense and also from Google, please try to concentrate on black hat techniques. Just concentrate on your primary keyword and posting the same in directories and e-zine articles sites. You may end u in good results.
