how do I restrict webmaster access to other directories?

I have someone uploading some files and don't want them to have access to my other directories (domains)?
I gave each directory a unique username and password but I think that is only for the web restriction. I need it to be for Cpanel restriction for others who are working within Cpanel. any chance of doing that.?

You can not restrict cPanal, by giving him the user and password to the site; he will have access to cpanal and everything on the server.

What you should do is setup an FTP account for him pointing only at the directory you want him to upload to with limitations to never leave that folder;

You can setup this type of FTP account in your cPanal, point it only to the directory you want him to upload to, set a name and password and let him do his thing via FTP.

This is the safest way for you to work.
