is there a restore key on start up. F some thing
its an e machine. there is a restore key on boot up i am tring to figure out what it is.

if you mean a system restore then, that would depend on your computer manufacturer. Mine is a compaq i know F10 will get me into the BIOS set up menu.

If you mean getting to the advanced boot menu then just keep tapping F8 while the computer loads vista (right after the BIOS screen) then choose which option you want.
Choose safe mode to run diagnostic and other helpful computer programs.

The 'restore' key will depend on your system manufacture. HP uses F10 on system boot up to put you into a restore screen. You can press F8 on system boot to go to the boot menu and select 'last known good' to use the windows restore function.
