MSN Live Messenger: How to invite someone to join you..?

I must have a blind spot. I can't figure out how to link with one of my contacts. HELP!

go up to the top and tool ( i think) and click on add contact and you need to entre their details and it will send a email asking them to join you.....good luck

go under windows live messenger and at the top it says find a contact, well right next to that is the little green man icon with a + next to it. press that man and it will tell you to add.
