MSN Live Messenger Virus?

I have a virus in my msn. It sends a link to all my friends everytime I log on. My virus scanner doesn't seem to recognise it. How do I get rid of it?
The virus I keep finding tips on involves pictures. The one I have involves a link that claims to show you who has blocked or deleted you.

first get rid of messenger, then scan in safe mode with virus scanner and a good spyware scanner.

Yeah, that virus is really annoying. No virus/spyware scanner can catch it since it's actually a very simple virus. I recommend asking on Bleepingcomputer.com's forums for step-by-step information on getting rid of it.
