OK, first C++ is a programming language. Software programming is something you can do with C++. That being said, follow the link below to get a good grasp of some of the basics.

I would suggest against starting with C++. Probably the best language to start learning programming is Visual Basic. It is very visual, and usually pretty intuitive.
