linux windows emulator?

what is the best windows emluator for linux the version of wine that i have (the most up to date) and the many others that i have tried never work they give me errors, i would like an emulator that works, i hear that wine is the best but i can never get it to work and suggestions or good emulators out there?

Try Cedega for games, it uses wine but seems to work well for many games.
