I had this problem for one month. No Virus scanner program fixed it. I then did a REGEDIT and searched for " hijacker ". I found two different items; 1) " hijacker.class" and deleted it and 2) "hijacker" and deleted it. Then I RESTARTED WindowsXP and the problem was gone. This solution may work for you; it only takes a couple minutes.
