My MSN live messenger keeps freezing!!?

Whenever I log on, it works fine for a few minutes, then it just suddenly stops working, and it just freezes randomly. I don't message anyone or anything, i always sign in on appear offline so no one msgs me , the whole thing just turns white and freezes. Sometimes when I leave it alone for a few minutes, it unfreezes itself, other times I've waited almost an hour for it to unfreeze itself , other times i just get impatient and open up the task manager and exit it myself. I uninstalled all my scripts, took out msn plus, and any other extra features but it still freezes. I also tried reinstalling a thousand times but that doesnt work either. It never use to do this but now it is really getting on my nerves because I can't even use it for 5 mins without the whole thing freezing.

Can anyone help ?
Also, it tends to work fine when i talk to people on appear offline, but as soon as i change my status to something else, the whole thing freezes.

well, try installing the newest version of messegnger, if it still refuses to cooperate, try restarting the computer from the start bar. also, make sure your internet connection is okay. this happens to me all the time, I usually just restart and it works fine.
