Anyone ever used this form of advertising and how were your results? Also, how much were you paying on average a day?

If you screw it up you'll blast through money so fast you'll be broke by the time you wake up!
However, I like to keep it at a CPM (cost per thousand) and use a content network. I pretty much just take similar ideas to what the competition is doing. Then I direct traffic to my page, try to build a list and call it a day.
Also, I like Facebook.com better. They have the same idea but it's way cheaper and they target interest groups rather than keywords.
Both work if you play them right.

Yeah. Using Google Adwords is a real art. The key is to find the best keywords for your site. That doesn't mean a word that just describes your site as much as which word has the best return for your clicks. With Adwords you can pay for people to visit your site all day long or you can pay for very few visits and get docked by Google in the rankings since people aren't clicking your link. I'm cheap but I would get a good SEO firm. You'll be surprised at what they can do for you.
