View Full Version : My msn live messenger isnt working?

I tried using windows web messenger and it worked. I tried using the old messenger and it worked. But i cant use my windows live messenger. I tried signing in with my other email address and it worked. the error code is 810000314
and some of my contacts are online...and they say their live messenger is working...hmmm...

an it was working about 3 hrs ago because I was on it!!

where u login.. theres a bit where it gives u the option to find the fault..

go in there, and do the try to fix thing. .it's probably ya "host files" which need sorting.

or in options . go to connection tab > then connection troubleshooter..

and it should be able to fix it to work..

if ya firewall is set to very strict it will not allow usage, BUT if it was working fine before don't mess with that.

or just try a re-install

Try using a mutliclient messenger instead, MSN messenger is junk.

I'd recommend Pidgin. Supports MSN, AIM, yahoo, jabber, IRC, and pretty much every other major IM client.

Google the word "Pidgin", should be the first result.

turn off your modem and switch it back on so it refreshes your ip address

It works fine for me, i dont know why all of you people are having trouble with it...

I just signed in and out 10 times on purpose with no errors at all.

Hopefully it'll work soon for you people.

Same thing here! usually I just restart my pc and it works again. I'll try it later in fact

Mine was down earlier but it's fine now.
