Why does msn messenger live keep downloading in a foreign language?

I've downloaded it and uninstalled it three times. Keeps loading in what looks to be maybe portuguese. Very annoying.

did you get it from the official site http://get.live.com/messenger/overview
couse if not that could explaine it , i downloaded it last night for a friend on her new laptop and it was in english. I cant remember if there was a language option or not.
