Norton Antivirus

This is to prove a point to my 'friend'. Norton Sucks.

Good Points:
• it has clever features
• easy to use

Bad Points:
• It uses up to 5 times more space than other (better) scanners..
• It slows down your computer considerably
• It is actually Prone to virus attacks!! *
• It is up to more than double the price of other (better) scanners..
• It s junk. lol..



*my computer got attacked when all I had was norton internet security. I used AVG and some others, and all the infected files were indeed those of Norton's utilities..

Yep, these days Norton just isn't the best choice for an anti-virus. The main reason to get it is just the few exclusive features and the name.

Norton Sucks, plain and simple. Takes up memory, doesn't find oall viruses, it sucks.

while AdAware, AVG, SpyBot, NoAdWare, and loads of free scanners found many trojans and even worms, norton just lags me and says my pc is as clean as ... something clean.. pfft!

update: Norton's advert-blocker is damn sound! Its the best ever!

Nortan lagged my pc up but found all viruses and stopped the coming in. Though it lagged my computer down more than the viruses would have done...

heh, it also ruined my multiboot harddrive ;) i forgot that norton hates multiboot :evil:

norton antivirus isnt a merical program but it does the job just the bad thing is i say "dont block this game" and when i get in the game i see what... norton warning

I think for the average user it will do fine,
speed of virusupdates should be improved alot.
So what's everybody been using ,nod32,avg,kasparsky??

Hmm. I didn't know that about Norton. I should tell my mom and brother they've been using it for years. They haven't complained. Maybe that's cause they don't know much about that stuff.
