Google search engine?

How long does it take for Google to take an old site off it's search engine if you've closed the site down? I used to have an account on face-pic.com, and deleted the account a couple months ago but it still pops up when I search for it on Google..will it stay there forever or will it eventually go away?

It will eventually go away. Some people look up old sites and this way they can see it was deleted and they don't sit there and try to figure out if they misspelled something or what-not. Google is really good for "slow" people.

it will eventually go, it depends on how long the spiders update on google

It's depend on the Google robots .

could be never because all the site are cached-- so when google or yahoo run searches they look through the cached files, were copy of your site is. (that's why sometimes you get "message site not found", even thou search engine has listed it)after sometime your site will be more down the list because search engine check the more recent cache first
