Yahoo! finance APIs for application developers?

Wanna write an option calculator applicaiton to automatically retrieve quotes, ticker symbols, contract details, interest rates and dividends from the Internet. But how to communicate with Yahoo! finance and CBOE? and if it's possible to write that application in C instead of using Excel?

If you are a serious Options trader, using free quotes from websites is probably not the way to go.Better use an API from the likes of Interactive brokers, as one error....screw up might cost you more than the hassle of openeing an account with them or another DMA service with an API.I
