how find the graphics card?

how do i find the graphics card i am on the device manager but i dont know where to look after that? it is so i can play the sims 2 and the expansion packs on my computer without no red and black flashing background

in the device manager it will say "display" or "video display" or have the words graphics" or graphics accelerator."

yes,as above,first update your driver,sounds like it could be some time out of date,this can cause what your experiencing,just type your card model into google and find the appropriate site to update it

to locate your graphics card in device manager just go to display adapter and click the "+" to expand the sub catergory,this will then show the display adapters in your p.c,you can then click this and you will get the current status of your graphics card
also you can update the driver for your card,however its better doing this with the specific manufacturers driver and installer
when you locate the name of your graphics card then you need to download the latest drivers for your card,its a good chance that its either a nvidia or a.t.i card,so for a nvidia driver you should go to

A.T.I.....http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html
also you should make sure your direct x runtime files are up to date,go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en,for the latest direct x(which is dx 10)
as long as both these drivers are up to date and your graphic card can support the specific game then you should be able to run this no problem
also you can go to http://www.nzone.com/content/nzone/srl/nzone_srl.asp?gameid=2058 and run the "can i run it" scanner,this is a internet explorer add on which will scan your p.c and report to you wether your system can run it at "minimum" settings or "recommended" settings
