Yes, like most large cities, Paris is split up into various neighbourhoods. In Paris there are twenty of these and they are referred to as "arrondissements". They are numbered in an outward spiral starting in the centre of the city on the right bank.

Here is a quick list:

- Louvre

- Bourse

- Temple

- Hôtel-de-Ville

- Panthéon

- Luxembourg

- Palais-Bourbon

- Elysée

- Opéra

- Enclos-St-Laurent

- Popincourt

- Reuilly

- Gobelins

- Observatoire

– Vaugirard

– Passy

- Batignolles-Monceau

- Butte-Montmartre

- Buttes-Chaumont
