How To Get To The Siam Bay Resort On Ko Chang Island? By Boat, By

Many people have asked me what is the best and easiest way to get to Koh Chang from Bangkok. There seems to be one main road that runs through the main areas of Koh Chang and most hotels are located within easy access to it. You shouldn’t have to wait longer than 5 minutes on the main road before you find a Songtaew – they seem to charge a set price of 100 baht per person during the day (although they get a little greedier at night).

As it was dark already and I was exhausted after 12 hours bangkok to koh chang of traveling, I asked the taxi driver to drop me off at Bang Bao, and called Chivapuri to send someone to pick me up. Otherwise, it takes no more than 10 minutes to walk from the entrance to the resort.

Day trips to Koh Wai are quite common, and guide books say that the beaches get crowded and recommend spending a few nights on the island to enjoy how quiet it is. I didn’t have much time so I tried my luck and I must say it went really well: I was one of no more than 10 persons at the beach, which was simply gorgeous and by far one of the best beaches in Thailand.

Unfortunately it is no longer possible to match our time tables with those of the Suvaranbhumi Burapha Airport Bus company , so it’s no longer possible to use this service to get to Trat and connect to our cars will carry passengers from there to our office near the pier and from there with the catamaran to the islands.. Our apologies for the inconvenience!

If you are travelling from Bangkok City to Koh Chang the most economical way to get to the Koh Chang pier of Laem Ngop is by taking the Express 99 buses or Minibuses that run from Bangkok’s Ekkamai Eastern Bus Terminal, located on Sukhumvit Road at Soi Ekkamai (Sukhumvit Soi 63).
